“Death is good”

 

 

Evolution has selected for death.

 

1.   Corpses serve as fodder in the food chain.

2.   Old (meaning same) genes are less fit than new genes (i.e. gene variations).

 

 

Contemplate what would happen if biological units did not die!

Consider the humble salmon. As soon as they have passed on their genes they die and become fodder, and avoid eating their offspring.
